Prior to founding PIVOT, Colin spent 25 years delivering software projects for Clifford Chance, OpenTable, and McKinsey & Company. His last nine years were in various tech roles at McKinsey Digital from hands-on coding to CTO-level positions for client startups. These startups were formed by some of the world's largest and most prestigious banks and corporations. Digital startup incubation and startup accelerators have been his main areas of expertise in recent years.
An avid sports and fitness enthusiast, he still plays cricket every summer and his passion for mountain biking has driven him to traverse the saw-toothed jagged peaks of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and cycle through some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery along the West Highland Way. For longer and more arduous feats on two wheels, Col cycled the entire length of South America with his younger brother and a close friend in 2007. A decade later, he would embark on a similar journey with his wife, and co-founder, Patricia: a road trip from London, all the way down to Cape Town, South Africa, in an expedition-prepared 80 Series Land Cruiser.
